How Do We Know It’s Lawn Season? February 28, 2009

Filed under: Daily Life — Jen @ 5:57 pm

Here are just a few of several clues available to us.

Box of 1000 flyers

Box of 1000 flyers

FIRST,

There is a box of 1000 flyers in our kitchen.  They are just begging to have rubber bands stapled to them.  This is only the first of several thousand-flyer boxes we plan to go through this season.  So far, 400 of those first thousand have been hung on doorknobs.

Souped-up Trailer

SECOND,

The trailer is parked in the garage.  My car just never gets to spend one day longer than absolutely necessary in there.  This year, they bought a bunch of stuff to upgrade the trailer, and they have been working hard to get it all installed.  They are finding it a little tougher going than they anticipated.

Pure White Trash

THIRD,

Our house looks even trashier than usual.  These boards came off the trailer, and Robb just had no place to put them.  It appears their new home is in the driveway, leaning against the garage door.  Actually, they will probably go back on the trailer before long, which is good news for me.

FOURTH, FIFTH, SIXTH AND SO ON…

The snow is melting… The neighbors lawn is greener than ours… The tulips are coming up… The competition is already aerating… The kids are asking if they can get paid to pass out flyers…  Robb lays awake nights worrying…

The clues are literally endless.  At any rate, I have a feeling the days of spending my Fridays with Robb are over, until October, that is.

Looks like a major business! Good luck…but PLEASE make room for the family reunion!!!

  2. Jen Says:

Don’t worry… we promised the kids last year that we would be to the reunion this year. So, come hell or high water, we have to find a way to be there!! We are planning to hire employees this year to do most of the mowing, so that should help a lot.

Looks like a lot to do! So, I suppose you don’t want to do our yard? Just kidding. However, do you do business on the East side of the Valley in Sandy or Draper? I might have some prospects for you. Maybe, not sure.Ü
