Bittersweet Haircut February 23, 2010

The smile is a farce.

I was SICK. AND. TIRED. of the fights about Brooklyn’s hair.  She didn’t want to brush it.  (Who can blame her?  It looked like a birds nest almost all the time!)  She didn’t want me to brush it.  (Can’t blame her there, either.  It hurts getting all those tangles brushed out.)  And I hated that she spent the majority of her time looking like an orphan.  No one appreciates that.

So, hi-ho, hi-ho, it’s off to SuperCuts we go.  And for less than 30 minutes and less than $20 the problem was solved.  Yippee!

A Significant Cut

We had probably 4 inches cut off.  It was a substantial amount.  Brooklyn wore the ornery face the entire time.  It’s hard to tell with her, though, because she has a tendency to wear the ornery face even when she is secretly happy.  Why her happiness would need to be a secret is beyond my understanding, though.

Anyhow, it made me happy to see all those lovely tangles of hair leaving her head and our lives forever.  I can’t wait until tomorrow, when she actually has to brush it herself!  We’ll see how much she hates it then!!
