Miss Kearns March 5, 2012

Our beautiful 15-year-old niece, Keilee, entered the Miss Kearns pageant.  It is more of a community service kind of thing than an actual pageant, but it is still fun.  She had only about 4 weeks to prepare, which was pretty fast.

The night of her dress rehearsal, I went over to their house and took a few photos of Keilee while she was wearing her formal gown, fancy hair, and stage makeup.  Here are the highlights:

We had fun watching her the night of the pageant.  For her talent, she performed Adele’s “Someone Like You.”  She played and sang, and did pretty well.  She didn’t win, but that was okay.  There were 3 older girls, and 4 9th grade girls competing, and we sort of expected the older girls would win.

Keilee still felt very good about the whole experience, and reported that she intends to compete again next year!
