Lady and the Trampoline April 15, 2012

It’s been trampoline nirvana around here.  Last year, we inherited this old trampoline, which has a great frame, heavy and in good condition.  The trouble is that the mat itself had a little tear in it, which turned into a big tear before we could get it repaired.  We scoured ksl classifieds, but never could find a mat the size we needed.  We finally broke down and went to our favorite source for everything, Amazon.  The tramp still has no pad to cover the springs, no net or step ladder, but it has everything they need to enjoy themselves.

Yesterday, the kids spent more than 2 hours on the trampoline.  There was no fighting, no screaming, no complaining.  It was kind of amazing, actually!  The day I took this picture, the neighbor kids who share a fence with us abandoned their own trampoline and came to join our kids.  They were playing a game that they called “The Bum Game” which basically involves counting to three and then dropping on your backside simultaneously.  This simple game is deceptively entertaining!  The kids were all laughing.

Now if I can just figure out how to keep them from jumping off the deck onto the trampoline!!
