I’m a typical Utah mom, with a sweet husband and 3 great kids. I have about a dozen piano students, including my own kids. I love teaching piano, and couldn’t imagine my life without it. I also love to read self-help books, and I have a shelf full of only the must-haves! I don’t feel like myself if I’m not reading something inspirational or motivational. I also love to bake, and attend my kids karate classes, and play bonko!
Robb works as an IT manager at a civil engineering company, and has a lawn care business on the side. He also loves taking care of our yard, planting flowers, vegetables and trees. He has done a ton of improvement projects on the house, and even made foot lockers and wooden swords for the kids. He enjoys learning about history, politics, and finance. He is a great dad, and loves playing with his kids.
Ryan is 13, and in 8th grade. He is a brown belt in karate, and loves all sports, especially basketball and soccer. He is the only sports enthusiast in the house, so he has to seek out friends to watch ball games with. He is a pretty talented pianist, and picks up music quickly and easily. He inherited every bit of both his parents stubbornness, and that is a lot! Despite that, he manages to be a really good kid and an extrememly hard worker.
Quinn is 12, and in 7th grade. His is a high brown belt in karate, and has recently joined the teaching team at that school. He is also taking piano lessons from his mom and doing really well. His favorite pasttimes are playing video games and pretending to fight bad guys. Quinn has a very active imagination, and frequently has a difficult time turning off the hero games in his head. He is very gentle and sweet, and considers himself the peacemaker of the family.
Brooklyn is 9 and in 4th grade. She loves to do all types of arty or crafty type things. She has a white board in her bedroom that gets used daily, and a large box of art supplies. She also loves the “My Little Ponies” and has a giant box of those, as well. She giggles more than anyone else in the house, and she is our best hope for a child that won’t need to wear glasses!
